General Information
Villa di Missiano is a delightful country villa dating from the 1800’s built in the classic Umbrian style, with influences from the adjacent Tuscany, that has been recently restored in its original style with all the original materials offering modern comforts.. The interiors have been decorated with care to retain the style and ambience of the period. The ceilings are tiled and suspended with wooden beams and the floors are in terracotta.
The Villa offers six beautiful self-catering apartments with independent entrance in order to guarantee the utmost privacy to our guests.
Main living/dining room and kitchen:
This consists of one large spacious room with a well-equipped kitchen area. The kitchen includes fridge, freezer, oven and gas hob along with ample kitchen storage units. Guests are supplied with all the basic necessities needed for a one or more week stay: salt, pepper, spices, oil (olive) vinegar, onions, garlic, washing-up soap, sponges.
There is a large dining table together with chairs and other traditional furniture.
Upon request private cooking is also available.
Bedroom: King-size bed, bedside tables with lamps, wardrobe, chest of drawers and chairs.
Bathroom: fully tiled fitted with W.C. Bidet, Shower with glass cubicle, large hand basin, shelves and towel rails. Towels, soap, shower gel and shampoo are also provided.
All apartments benefit from central heating and satellite Tv and are all elegantly furnished with late 19th and early 20th century furniture. Thanks to the location and the large windows, any apartment is extremely luminous and airy.
Villa di Missiano is dramatically placed on a hillside overlooking the valley of Missiano, with views of the medieval village of Panicale, surrounded by centuries-old olive trees. Located in rural Umbria, yet only a short distance to the Tuscan border, in the middle of a very interesting historical, cultural route, nearby famous towns, such as Orvieto, Todi, Perugia, Cortona, Montepulciano, Citta’ della Pieve, it is the right choice for those who want to visit both regions. Within easy reach you can practice other outdoor activities like horseback riding, golf, fishing, trekking, mountain biking.
The Villa also benefit from its own massage room and its team of professional masseurs.
The pool area, just below the house has a wide sun lounging area ideal for reading or sun-bathing and enjoys beautiful panoramic views across the surrounding countryside.
A communal lounge is also available to our guests, where they could enjoy a chat with the owners or the other guests, read a book or just have a drink or a cup of tea.

Villa di Missiano, thanks to its strategic position on the border between Umbria and Tuscany, near the most important Italian cities of art like Rome, Florence, Siena, Assisi, Gubbio, Orvieto, Spoleto, will surely give you the opportunity to make the most out of your holiday. You really have the best of both worlds – a hidden location, but just a short drive to many historic towns and only one hour by train from Rome and Florence.
The adjacent Trasimeno lake (12 km) with its Magggiore and Polvese islands (ferries are available from Castilione del Lago in summer time), is a very interisting trip as well.
Within easy reach you can practice other outdoor activities like horseback riding (4 km), golf (6 km), fishing, trekking and mountain biking (both can be practiced either on the several path available in the area or on organised circuits).
