Location Description
Passo Tonale is absolutely an ideal training ground where to learn skiing, since it is like a wide natural amphitheatre, completely turned southwards and therefore nicely sunny, with slopes suited both for beginners and experienced skiers. The more, the slopes, among the most beautiful of the Alps, are served by a close network of lifts and cableways.
There is only an embarrassment of riches. From the mythical “black” Paradiso slope, with a length of 3 kilometres and a difference in height of 710 metres, to the long and panoramic “Alpino” slope, 4500 metres of length and a difference in height of 725 metres, both connected to the “Pegrà” slope which makes it possible to reach with fastened ski and after 5 kilometres, the slopes of Pontedilegno, recommended for experienced skiers since the descent is somewhat steep and running through dense pine-woods in an amazingly beautiful scenery.
