The marvellous Hotel El Faro is superbly located overlooking the wonderful Porto Conte bay, between Punta Giglio and Capo Caccia, just a short drive from Alghero. Built in the 50s by architect Simon Mossa, this 5-star hotel has the shape of an ocean liner, with its stern laid down on the rocks, enriched by Spanish-style arches and balconies. Fully redecorated and refurbished, today Hotel El Faro still evokes the splendour of the 50s, when it hosted famous movie stars like Anthony Queen and Liz Taylor. This charming hotel boasts peacefulness and elegance amidst the natural beauty of its surroundings, only 2 hours by airplane from the main European cities. Great amenities include two sea-water swimming pools, fitness room, wellness centre with sauna, Turkish bath, solarium and massages, meeting and conference facilities, tennis courts and private beach, as well as an excellent restaurant with terrace and a bar.
