General Information
Just a short distance away from the Estense Castle and the Cathedral, Mela and Marco will be happy to welcome you to their peaceful and historical B&B in Ferrara. Guests at the DolceMela will be treated to family hospitality and an oasis of tranquillity in the heart of medieval Ferrara:
The B&B DolceMela has six double rooms, two of which with twin beds. One room also has a kitchen and a double sofa bed, allowing families of three or four people to be comfortably settled. The cosy breakfast room can also be used for small meetings of 10/12 people arranged around a table or on stalls. We can provide audio-video facilities on demand.
Its attractive rooms overlook the typical cobbled street or the quiet internal courtyard with its splashing FONTANA DEL MEZZO TONNO (Fountain of the half tuna) created by Serafini, that tireless artisan “midway between Leonardo and Eega Beeva”. (V. Sgarbi)
Breakfast features a range of home made cakes, jams and biscuits.
The DolceMela B&B has a typical architecture with all the features of Ferrara's lesser building style, starting with the evident high Gothic arch at the front of the building, indicating the presence of an ancient workshop.
The Dolce Mela is a unique B&B which is also suitable for families thanks to the amenities provided it is modern yet simply furnished rooms, and its guaranteed peace and quiet.
Closed to the B&B a private indoor parking allows you to leave the car during your stay, and to visit the town by bike.
