Italy - Information on Moiano in the Province of Benevento
Moiano - Situated in the middle of the Valle Caudina, with the hamlet of Luzzano, Moiano stretches along the way connecting Montesarchio to Sant’Agata dei Goti. The first well-grounded historical news goes back to the 10th c., when Moiano was a small centre belonging to the neghbouring Airola. It was a possession of the aristocratic family Della Leonessa, then the D’Avalos, the Caracciolo and the De Capua. Subsequently the Crown Property collected the fees until the abolition of feudalism. With the unity of Italy it became part of the province of Benevento.

2. Church of St. Pietro
3. Church of St. Sebastiano
