Formigliana - Vercelli in Piemonte
Bereits in einer Urkunde von Karl dem Großen 882 erwähnt, weichen die geschichtlichen Ereignisse dieses Ortes nicht allzu sehr von jenen der anderen Orte der Ebene von Vercelli ab. Dieser Ort war bis ins 12. Jahrhundert Lehensland der Avogadros und kam dann ab 1404 unter die Herrschaft der Dynastie der Savoyer.
In Formigliana befindet sich die Pfarrkirche „ Parrocchiale di S. Maria Assunta“, die im romanischen Zeitalter dem Heiligen Viktor (S. Vittore) geweiht wurde und in der Barockzeit noch nach den Charakteristika der Renaissance umgebaut wurde.
