Valle Vogna, Alpe Maccagno - Vercelli in Piemonte
Von Riva Valdobbia aus geht es bis zum Val Vogna; Der Wanderweg Nr. 1 beginnt bei der Örtlichkeit Sant’Antonio (1381 m). Der breite und nicht sehr steile Eselspfad führt in rund einer Stunde zur Ortschaft Peccia, in der sich das Oratorium von San Grato (1529 m) befindet; gleich danach geht es am Ponte Napoleonico links mit dem Wegzeichen Nr. 5 weiter.
Der Abschnitt verläuft sanft durch mehrere Almweiden und bietet in der Nähe von Buzzo eine Variante: Der Wanderweg Nr. 6 führt entlang den Seen von Tillio und des Cortese und kehrt zur Route Nr. 5 zurück. In insgesamt 3h – 3h 30 erreicht man die Alpe Maccagno (2188 m). Eine herrliche Landschaft, die ihren besonderen Reiz durch zwei kleine Seen erhält. Aus dieser Gegend stammt übrigens der köstliche Toma-Käse.
