Herzlich willkommen! Bergamo
Bergamo ist eine sehr alte Stadt. Spuren einer ersten protostorischen menschlichen (VI-V v.C) sind auf dem Hügel gefunden worden, wo sich spater die Stadt entwickelt hat . Dieser Hügel wurde wahrscheinlich wegen seiner strategischen Lage gewählt, am Rande der großen lombardischen Poebene, zwischen den Flüssen Brembo und Serio deren Taler zu den orobischen seit dem Palaolithikum besidelte Alpen fuhren. Durch diese ersten Einwohern hat Bergamo die Pragung bekommen, wodurch sie sich heute noch von allen anderen Stadten der Lombardei unterscheidet und zu einer der besondersten im ganzen Land geworden ist: sie liegt zum Teil auf dem Hügel und zum Teil in der Ebene. Die Stadt kündigt sich unerwartet an mit einer phantastischen Reihe von Türmen, Kiarchturmem und Kuppeln, dessen Konturen die Alpen als Hintergrund haben. Das Herz des Teil Bergamos das auf dem Hügel liegt ist die Piazza Vecchia.
